“ Drove all the way from Florida to let the kids experience the deliciousness that is Lamar's. Best chicken we've had in a long time!! 10/10 definitely recommend!!!!! ”
“ Enjoyed a fantastic lunch here as we are motorcycling from PA to Mt. Rushmore. Found it on Google Maps and it was PERFECT...tasty chicken, baked beans and cold slaw at a great price. Very friendly staff made us feel welcome and at home. Thumbs up for Ja-Mar. 2026 Update: I'm motorcycling from OR to PA and I aimed for Ja-Mar when I planned the routes. Once again, a terrific big-lunch stop! Great food and friendly staff. 5-stars, especially with the free ice cream cone for eat-ins. ”
“ Friday January 9th around 12:30-1pm first time coming here. The lady that took my order was friendly and very nice. First thing I noticed about this place was workers opening the doors for the elderly. I give workers 5 star's for helping elderly. Omg the food was excellent I had a chicken sandwich so I will definitely be back. ”
“ For one the service is outstanding. The women at the counter was so polite. Felt very welcoming. She knew all the locals by name and I miss places like that. The inside of this place is like a time capsule. I loved it. Anyway we got our food very quick and everything was hot and fresh. We both got the country fried steak. The gravy was awesome. Had a nice peppery taste too it which I like. The steak itself was just a little small but still enough to fill ya up. Wish it came with a few more hash browns too. The egg was cooked perfect to my liking. I’d highly recommend this place for breakfast and would go back again. It just has that down home feel to it which most places are lacking these days. Try it you won’t be disappointed. ”
“ Neat little diner. All the employees seemed unhappy to be there tho. Coordination between orders didn't seem to exist. Parts of our orders were doubled while other parts were never delivered. Everyone's soda tasted weird. Worth checking out once, but probably won't go back or recommend. ”
